Who we are

AquaGleam is an owner-operated mobile car detailing and valeting business run by Jamie and based in Hellaby, Rotherham (S66). AquaGleam decides how your personal information is used for the purposes in this policy, which makes us the “controller” of that information under UK data protection law.

What we collect and why

When you book online

Our “Book Now” buttons take you to our online booking system at app.detailbook.co.uk. To arrange your appointment we collect your name and contact details, the address and postcode where the work will take place, your vehicle details, the service and appointment you choose, and anything else you tell us about the job. Your postcode is checked against our service area.

A deposit is taken when you book. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we don't see or store your full card details.

We use this information to provide the service you've booked, contact you about your appointment, and keep business and accounting records. Our lawful bases are performing our contract with you, and our legal obligations for financial records.

When you email us

If you email info@aqua-gleam.co.uk, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and use it to reply and deal with your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.

When you browse this website

Our website host records technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

If you accept optional cookies, we also collect information about how you use the site. See Cookies and similar technologies below.

Who we share information with

We only share personal information with services that help us run the business:

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, including in the United States, using the safeguards described in their own privacy policies. We may also share information where the law requires it.

You can withdraw or change your consent at any time using the button above or the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. When you withdraw consent, we stop the relevant tracking and remove the cookies we can reach.

Other content

Some pages show the Google logo next to our reviews. That image is loaded from Wikimedia, which receives your IP address when your browser requests it. It doesn't set cookies.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, the site still works, but you'll be asked for your cookie choices again.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, deal with enquiries, maintain required business and accounting records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations.

Emails and enquiries may be kept where reasonably necessary for customer service, bookings, resolving disputes, or our business and legal records.

Cookies and browser storage are kept for the periods listed above. Data collected by Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel is kept according to those providers' own policies and our account settings with them.
